We raised €270 for GOAL on GOAL Jersey Day.



Our Girls and Boys U11 teams were defeated in their semi-finals this October. The Boys lost after extra-time to Suncroft NS and the Girls were narrowly
defeated by Robertstown NS.
Congratulations to our U10 team who defeated Newbridge Educate Together in Moorefield on Thursday May 18th in a thrilling match. The final score was 6-1 to 5-2. Our Senior Boys played with great determination and skill but were defeated by a strong Cadamstown NS side on Thursday May 25th at the same venue.
Congratulations to our Junior Infants who won our Golden Boot Award for the best class on our Walk on Wednesday.
We have two new buddy benches in the school to encourage the children to ensure that no one is left out on our playground.
Congratulations to our girls and boys soccer teams who qualified for the finals in Kilcullen on March 28th
Sarah,Finn, Julie and Aaron took on a chess Grand Master in Kildare as part of the Kildare Chess finals.
The school were delighted to host 29 members of the Garda Band led by Sergeant Sean Hearns on Friday February 2nd in the Church of the Most Holy Blessed Trinity, Moone. The band played a wonderful repertoire of music and introduced the pupils to the different instuments of the orchestra. Many thanks to Seán Cullen who organised the visit and to the PA for providing the refreshments.
Congratulations to our school chess team who defeated Ballyshannon NS in our final chess league match by 2 1/2 to 1 1/2 on Friday February 2nd. Over twenty players took part. Our first team, Finn, Sarah, Julie and Aaron, will represent the school in the finals on February 14th in Kildare.
Many thanks to Geraldine Parker from Moate, Co. Westmeath, through the Tony Parker Memorial Fund, who helped to get a defibrillator for the school. The teaching staff will receive training in the defibrillator in the coming weeks.
Fifth and Sixth class participated in the Primary Science Fair, which is run in conjunction with the BT Young Scientist Exhibition, in the RDS on Friday January 13th 2017. Their project was titled "Testing the Five Second Rule" where they tested out the myth that food that falls on the floor is safe to eat if it is picked up before five seconds.
Classes 3rd to 6th took part in the Intel Mini-Scientist Competition on Thursday. Congratulations to all the children who took part in the display. Well done especially to James Prout Walsh who will represent our school in the Regional Finals in Leixlip on December 8th.
We collected 50 boxes for Hope's Christmas Shoebox Appeal
We collected €320 for GOAL.
Our Fifth and Sixth Class represented Kildare at half-time in the Leinster SFC quarter final between Kildare and Wexford.
